Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, model and film maker. In addition to her graceful appearance, her steady success in the film industry is testament to her abilities as a performer. In the 70s, she began her modeling career and quickly was one of the most prominent actors in the industry. Following her studies in acting Russo started her career as a model at the age of Los Angeles. The year 1987 saw Russo portrayed Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest two years later with Major League, her debut movie. Some critics initially doubted her ability as an actor however her steady performance enthused them. They were most impressed with her in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak in which she defended the line against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. The actress admits to being not a fan of acting. She was in 2005 when she went to a break, which was self-imposed. Then she returned with a role in the superhero flick Thor. Additionally, she was a part-star in Nightcrawler - her husband's Oscar Award winning film. The Intern, and Just Getting Started were humorous comedies where she was the lead.

Rose has also created MMA history with this match as she became the first woman to compete in a title fight within an organization that is a major one. In the aftermath of this win Namajunas was able to have a number of other victories in which she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC after these wins .
